the 1953 D4 serial #'s ran from 6U8256 to 9698----I use straight 30w diesel oil in the engine and sae90w gear oil in the transmission and final drives. 00 grade grease in the button head grease fittings and aw 46 hydraulic oil in the hydraulic system I found all my manuals on ebay.
