On April 11, 1938, it was worth $1120, with rubber tires and a UA 616 Disc Harrow. My great-grandpa traded in a Fordson tractor and a disc harrow for $175, leaving a balance due of $945. It was bought from Salem Feed and Produce, in Salem, Illinois, and was to be delivered "now". The receipt is marked "Paid 4-11-38" and signed by R.F. Gragg. The purchaser was Steuben Wham (my great grandpa) from Cartter, Illinois.
I hesitate to post this picture of the receipt, because it is hard to read. The copies were real thin so the carbon paper would make an imprint, and when I scanned it, the warranty writing on the back side showed through. But if you look close. . .
The other picture is the actual tractor, taken sometime in the early 40's, with my Dad at the wheel.
