Have the Nigerian scammers moved to north America?. I have some things for sale on Craigslist. I have received two text messages for items. At first they seemed normal enough, asking about condition and if I had bought it new. Then the one said she was a deaf person buying this item (international 781 chopper) as a gift for her mother. All I needed to do was to set up a PayPal account and they would send the funds plus money for the shipper. When I checked the number, the text came from northeast Canada (I'm in central wisconsin). Now I am getting another text scamer from Kentucky. Are the Nigerian scamers moving in, or are local people trying their hand at scamming long distance?. After all of the warning, I can't imagine this being a profitable business.
