Mid 60's dress pants were getting "expensive". Parents got together and collectively told the school our kids will be wearing jeans to school this year whether you like it or not. School "decided" jeans would be ok. Been wearing jeans and cotton t-shirts ever since. Fashion trends be hanged. Incredible changes in the world in the 64 years I been on it.
