I worked, for a while, at an International truck dealership in Ohio. After the crash in 2008,we almost went under [for several reasons],but International has a crew that comes in and will do whatever it takes to maintain that market. I got to know the one outside manager pretty well and he told me that this was a fairly common situation. I f they do this for trucks,they will do this for the farm equipment side,as well. I understand that they are two different companies,but there are times when they will not abandon a territory. The transition will be difficult,and people will lose jobs, but I've seen it personally.
