I have a carabiner that I keep attached to my key ring. It is small one and I just use it to have something attached to my key ring. I never clip my keys to my belt loop either. I slide my ring on it like the key ring. It will be very hard for me to lose the keys along with my ring. If I take them out of my pocket, I clip it on something.
