There is a Minuteman missile sight across I-90 (Exit 116) from Wall Drug. The missile is deactivated but still there. There is a plexiglass cover so you can see down into silo. We kinda stumbled across it but it turned out to be one of the more memorable things we saw. Hard to believe that something like that would be there. They give tours of the command center also, but it requires reservations and they are usually booked out a ways.
If you aren't in a hurry passing thru Sioux Falls, there is the Falls Park on the edge of downtown. There is also the USS South Dakota Battleship Memorial at Sherman Park on Kiwanis Ave.
