I live in Mitchell... The Corn Palace is under construction right now... so no tours but you can still stop and see it. In Kimball SD about an hour west, there is a tractor muesum that is a nice place to stop and look. The hydroelectric plant your thinking of in Pierre is the Oahe dam... you can look online for tour information. Oh, and when ur ready for super in Mitchell... go to Hardees just south of the interstate... ask for Julie the manager (and my better half). She will take good care of you!.
