I have a 3010 Diesel. I recently bought a wood splitter that runs off the tractor's hydraulics. I've never really done much with the hydraulics before except to raise and lower implements. Anyway, after about 30 minutes of running the splitter, I went to disconnect the hoses from the remotes and they were too hot to touch. I talked to a friend and he said I should check the hydraulic oil cooler up near the radiator to see if it was plugged up or something, but it's good. Now I'm thinking maybe I should try changing the hydraulic oil filter. Has anyone else experienced this? What else could be wrong?
