Have any of you ever tried removing a stump with buttermilk?
Don't laugh--it works! An older gentleman neighbor told me to drill several large holes or use a chainsaw to make a cavity that would hold buttermilk. He said to not go through the stump, just down far enough to fill.
Years ago, I tried this and within a few months, small tree stumps were rotted and easy to remove.
Neighbor said that the buttermilk caused bacteria that would cause the rotting. Larger stumps took nearly or over a year.
Don't know if it would work with cedar or such tree stumps.
