Ya know, it's kinda funny. I carried a gun on and off duty for over 20 years. Pretty much always had something close by. Truth is, I can't remember the last time I shot one! Not that I'm getting rid of any mind you, but between the NY State SAFE (or not so safe!) Act, cost of 22's, the trouble of getting them out and putting them away...I just don't have the time or energy anymore. I think I shot a couple porkies last winter with cast in a 308 surplus bolt gun and I sighted in a 22 this spring. Out down a cow with a 44 Special last summer and a Amish neighbors horse with the same 308 the winter before.
