Its just hard to say the problem from here. if a condenser is totally open like none there at all she could still start if all else was in good shape/// but if its a dead short she wont run at all. Timing changes as the rubbing block on the points wears down and/or the gap changes. its more often a points problem like burned or carboned then its a condenser problem when she wont fire. see what the other gents think, they are as good and better on this stuff then I am, especially on a Ford lol Im out to lunch on them but grabbing the best I can here.
