My youngest son just finished his second Summer internship at John Deere a week ago. He was hoping to get hired on full time. He is a student in mechanical engineering with one semester left. He was told he'd hear from them by Sept. 1st. So tension is a little high at our house. Is there any chance he'll get hired with all the layoffs they just announced? He seems to think they'll still hire engineers.
