My 05 Silverado had developed a squeak in the right front. Only heard it with the windows open, started only when I DID NOT have my foot on the brake. It was a 'circular' sound, as it sounded only part time. I had used my IR temperature gauge after driving several miles, and non of the four points was 'hot'. Yesterday it got quite a bit worse-noisy with the foot on the brake or not! This afternoon I pulled the wheel and caliper-still squeaking! Pulled the brake pads, sure enough, the inner one had a sand pebble smack in the middle of it! What a noise sand can make!
