The house is structurally sound and weather tight but it has not been lived in since the early 1980s.
My landlord had a finished room in the bank barn he stayed in. It has a bathroom and a small kitchen area. He did that around 1995.
The house is basically a four room down and four room up house that has been added to all around. I think the plan will be to tear all the additions off and add one big kitchen/family room to the back of the house. What is used from the original house would need all new wiring and plumbing. The exterior is all rock and it is in good shape. He had new windows put in the main house 4-5 years ago.
We will see how it all goes. I will bring my oldest son with me when we do the Planning. He will be taking this farm over from me. This was what my landlord and I both wanted. The daughter and my son are about the same age, 47-48.
