As much as I wish it were true, Congress and the WH don't run the economy. We can send all the new people to DC we want, it isn't going to bring back 50 cent gas and $12K pick up trucks. What DC can do is relieve the tax burden and regulatory burdens, ensure fair trade and bolster the US dollar. They aren't doing any of that of course, but they could.
