I love my granite counters and could care less about the radiation. As much diesel smoke, used oil, and chemicals as I am around every day on this farm it will be a miracle if something doesn't get me soon anyway. Who knows how much radon there is in the basement of this old house but that can't be good, either.
I'm not so fond of the color we ended up with but they make cooking and canning a breeze. I seem to do most of both so I guess what's what counts.

If impossible to place tractor under cover, be sure to cover air stack and exhaust pipe. Drain radiator and engine block. To avoid gum content collections, drain both fuel tanks and carburetor. Leave radiator and fuel caps slightly loose to protect gaskets. Block tractor up to remove weight from tires and to keep tires from contact with moist floor.
