With top shaft out, get the slotted nut lose on the front of the countershaft. Remove PTO and the retaining ring for rear countershaft bearing. Remove parts to slide the clutch and brake operating shaft to one side. Drive countershaft rear bearing from shaft out toward the back. Finish removing the front nut and the front bearing retainer with seal. Move countershaft to rear and tilt front up and remove.
