Check the connections again. That amplifier should work. As I understand, the antenna booster is primarily to drive the signal from the antenna through cable to the TV. Once you get a better (larger) antenna, you should get a much better pic on the TV. When we lived out in the country, I put up a large channel Master to use with the antenna booster.
