Celebrities vie for the approval of their talents by a very critical world audience of millions. Add to it constant travel, hotels, lack of sleep, time zone changes, and performing in front of huge audiences when you are so sick you want to throw up. Their critics are the nastiest of the nasty. The survivors need extremely thick skin. How many of us on this forum would be able to handle it? If I had to work under the pressure of the public press waiting to stab a figurative knife in my back there wouldn't be enough whiskey in the world to help me cope with it.
