: Okay this is my first time here. I have a Model MT, I'm not sure what year and I was wondering how I could find out. I've looked for manufacturing dates and I can't find any. Is there a way of determining year from serial number ( like say a 360594 maybe a 1943 ) I have a sickle bar mower attached to the rear of it and I just wanted to restore the tractor and know how old it was. I was also told that John Deere Green and John Deere Antique Green is the same color, can any one help me as of what color my tractor is. I always thought Antique green seemed to be more yellow green than dark green. I am also looking into a Model "B" which has lights near the steering wheel, is this standard or would it help determine the year??? Thanks in advance... Mud It's very unusual if the serial numbe is missing of the M series because it is located at the bottom of the column directly in front of the driver-the plate with the model and serial number surrounds the switch.
