Tossing around the idea of chopping 23 acres of corn that has gone to cr@p due to no rain in july, and too much rain this spring. Thinking my loss of grain potential, and income, could be reclaimed via having the field chopped and bagged, then start buying the "bargain" cattle att he sales barns. Yes I know beef is high, but there are some deals. Mostly thinking about the "ugly" bred cows. Get em, fatten them, pray for them, get them to calving, and resell next pasute season. Would also grab steers/ dairy bull calves on low sale days. Any idea what costs would be to have a custom guy come in. Any on eelse doing this?
