Neighbor has been renting my pasture in the summer for several years now. He pays $0.50 per head per day. He has been asking me for a couple years now if I'd be willing to keep them over winter. I have 31 head here this summer. It'd be 20 head over winter. Water shouldn't be an issue as the crick runs year round on all but last winter, and if it becomes one, he can come get them. I provide hay. I can run them into my corn stalks after harvest. I figured on getting three bale feeders so I'd only have to feed them once a week. What's a good rate for board in this situation?
