All complaining will do is guarantee that the only people who will have your data are the ones who want to do bad things with it. It's the same as the gun argument: Outlaw data, and only outlaws will have data.
Then when you call Andersen Windows you will have to go through the tedious process of spelling out your entire "life story" to them letter by letter so that they can ship you some windows, instead of them already having your information on the computer from the last time you did business with them. Then you can complain, "Why oh why can't you store that information on the computer so we don't have to go through this?"
