Just a few points of information about Chrysler's "Lean Burn" engines of the '70s.... First off, the "Lean Burn" was only a trade name, and in reality had no direct relationship with the mixture. Lean Burn technology was limited to a few sensors and synthesized ignition timing. Under some conditions, timing could advance 50 degrees or more. There was no mixture control. Mixture became effectively leaner based on highly advanced ignition timing.
