Like the rest of you I put off hearing aids for some time. Cost and the fact that my friends that bought them rarely used them. They said they are a pain ! When I bit the bullet I remembered years ago when I got glasses. Did not like them but I knew I had to wear them and get used to them which I did.
Did the same with the new hearing aids and finally got used to them. Took a while but now I look forward to putting them on in morning. Cost a lot but worth it. I even hear a little better when I take them out at night then I did before I got them.
Still seems they should not cost as much as they do, $4000 and change, but guess I should be glad as they are high tech. Automatically adjust for background noise, do not squeal on their own like Grandpa's used to at the worst possible time.
