Danner is a premium boot. I owned a pair of heavy Danner hiking boots twenty years ago. I bought them because they were made in the US and because REI carried them in narrow widths. It took two years of hiking in southern California to get them broken in, but after that they were great boots. I would still have them, but my wife was cleaning out the basement and decided I didn't need a pair of two hundred dollar hiking boots.
