I use a Canon SX 50 HS. It is a point and shoot, no switching of lenses! This was all hand held-probably had it zoomed in at 50Xs. I can go up to 200 times, but after 50 times it is digital and VERY hard to get a crisp shot-a monopod helps some. I can get decent shots at up to 75Xs! I turned it off of 'auto' and played with the settings. I went to 80-100 ISO (old film speed reference) and then played with the shutter speed until the moon looked close in the viewfinder as to what we were seeing live! After getting the settings close, I remembered a tree that I thought would be a good one to 'play' with and thought it looked cool this way-kinda like the leaves are tickling the moon!
