Last night I finally tossed out a pair of Dickie brand work boots that were duct taped from the inside. I wore them around the place, they were comfortable, steel toed, and I was used to them. I didn't even want to quit wearing them then either, but even the soles were coming apart, and every time I took them off my socks stuck to the tape. Think I cared what other people thought of them? There's an old saying in our house, "If they don't put the food on your table, the roof over your head, the money in your back pocket, feed them fish". Since I couldn't find them near me, I ordered them on line and the replacements showed up Friday, got mink oiled, and these guys, well, I hated to do it, but...

I know what you mean about junk in the eyes of other folks, and they can eat fish. I eat fish too, but its an old saying around my family that began after Mom yelled it and started a bar fight a couple few decades back.
