Before the day's over,this could wind up being the most expensive Cockshutt 1555 ever. I came across it on a local weekly online auction the other day and thought it would be a neat unit to have with such a story behind it. This thing is a draft dodger. It was supposed to go to Vietnam,but got it's name changed and went to Canada. It was built as an Oliver 1555 Ricefield to be sent to Vietnam. The order was cancelled and it was brought back in,the tag and decals were changed to Cockshutt but it wasn't re painted. It got sent to Ontario and was sold as a Cockshutt 1555 Wheatland. Just a half hour in to the auction there had been 17 bids and it's up over $5000. Must be I wasn't the only one wanting one with maybe the best story behind it ever.
