Just replaced the 13Hp engine on my log splitter with the one from HF. The rotation is counter clockwise when viwed from the shaft end. This is the same engine as the Viper and the Honda. Only cosmetic differences. HF has it for $359 and Honda has it for $829. It pays to shop around.
Ran it for five hours yesterday and it worked perfectly. I'm the one who feels it today.
