Allen, its off label, and a person can get in trouble if Monsanto figures out what you did, but... After you take a cutting off, run over it with about 10 oz of Roundup. Won't ding the alfalfa much, and will smoke the Cheat/Downy Brome/Japanese Brome. Like I say, its off label, and a person can get in trouble custom doing it. Select is way to expensive, in my opinion. You might put points on your field cultivator, and clean out the cheat that way too. I think you would like the response better then the disc.
