I wrongly posted this in another mans post. newbys, geesh. 49 super a has been converted to use a coil instead of magneto. Has run fine for over 20 years until last week. It lost power and finally had to have a pull before it would run. Checked spsark, very weak. New coil, no help. Cleaned points and gapped to .020 as per book with using coil instead of mag. Does not run. Tries to the point of blowing oil out the air breather. Not much to speak of just enough to let you know timing advanced too much. Not enough fire at plugs to run it. Any suggestions please?
