My old Mums clothes washer quit this week. The repair man shook the drum, shook his head, told her it was not worth fixing and took �10 from her and ran as hard as he could! So yesterday my mechanic girl, Danna and me got it out into the yard and she removed the back to find the belt was thrown and the main bearing away in the drum/ barrel. She removed the old bearing shells and we phoned the electrical appliance store for a replacement.....�40 and you have to wait until Tuesday! I got a look at the bearing and thought it look like a Massey Ferguson clutch spigot bearing....so �3 later my Mum's washer is running again on genuine MF tractor parts, There is no end to what you can do with tractor parts!.....Sam
