Well I see that some others have no issue with the Ford 9700. I will have to disagree with them on the Ford 9700. I have seen them have many troubles with the engines and they are not sleeved. The transmissions can be problematic as well. Just not a great tractor. The TW series where even worst. Ford did not have a good over 100 HP tractor until the Genisus tractors came out.
The IH 1066 has a great engine but the TA can be an issue. It is rated 10 HP lower than the Ford 9700 but I have rarely seen any IH 1066 still be at factory setting today.
The market reflects the value of most tractors. The Ford 9700 is cheaper because they can have serious issues and do not sell very well.
