I saw something similar to this in the shop years ago, it was barbed wire fence though. I bet there was a couple hundred feet wrapped in the driveshaft, it beat up the muffler and fuel tank bad enough to put holes in them (plastic fuel tank). I'm not sure they would have stopped had it not been for all the fuel leaking out. It's a wonder a spark didn't ignite the leaking fuel.
