Looking for some help here guys. I have a JD 2440 that seems to be making oil. When I changed to oil it was about a quart high and smelled of diesel.
I know one of the first places to look is the injection pump (stanodyne) but I had it rebuild less than a hundred hours ago. Should I be looking at the fuel pump or others places? The tractor runs and starts fine and almost no smoke. How can I isolate the problem rather than throwing parts at it? THANKS for your help!
