Loosen the drain plug and watch what will drip out first. The oil and the water or antifreeze will separate after a few days and so if oil comes out first, you do not have an internal coolant leak.
But, I drained some water out of a rear end housing and then towed the tractor home. That fluid remained cloudy gray in color, because I did not get all of the water out before towing it. SDE
