I am in South Carolina. We have had it for several years. The key to control is to prevent it from getting started. One plant can produce 500,000 seed. Yes that is correct. Sometimes it is tranfered by birds. I do a rotation of soybeans, corn(using atrazine), grazing cows and leasing out for tobacco. I do not know what is used on the tobacco. We have not eliminated it in my fields but we are working on it. You must eliminate it anywhere you see it. If it is on a ditchbank you must hand pull or spray.
