Wal-mart heavily advertised that they were going to straight USDA choice beef a few years ago, at least in the larger markets. I have no idea whether they actually did that or not but if they did that would indicate most of the beef comes from the US, not because of the USDA certified label, imported meat can meat those requirements but because there is a limited amount of meat produced outside the USA that will grade choice, probaly a good bit of the beef from Canada and maybe some from New Zealand and Ireland but certainly not Australia or Brazil where the majority of the imported beef comes from.
