I wonder how many make themselves sick via food contamination due to not washing their own hands.
I don't have a germ phobia either... just always wash my hands with plain old soap and water before handling food (every time).
I worked in a world-famous medical facility for nine years - there was no restroom in our office, so we used a "public" restroom down the hall... you would be shocked to know how many female patients I have seen leave the restroom WITHOUT washing their hands. Yuk!
But I do agree with old tanker... far too many people are using way too many antibacterial products too. Just cleaning up with soap and water is the best idea in my opinion.
