My DIL works at a VA outreach clinic in central MN, part of the excellent St. Cloud VA. Tuesday she had a veteran come in who had moved/maybe visited from Phoenix, who was in need of an INR check, since he was on Coumadin. DIL called Phoenix, Tues, Wed, Thurs, leaving a msg regarding needing permission from his doctor to authorize local INR test. DIL maintained daily contact with veteran regarding status of response. Finally, Friday morning DIL gets msg from Phoenix to contact local INR clinic, and she had it arranged for Friday afternoon. How do you justify the delay? Depending on your INR status, you can"t wait days for a reading.
