If you cannot take the tire to a repair shop and have it Vulcanized, I would get the largest repair patch, WITH Plug attached, that will fit the puncture and install it inside the tire, with the plug filling the hole. Cut off the excess plug length after the adhesive sets.. The Plug will have a metal shield that helps you push it thru the puncture..
