My Brother and I have decided to hang up the farming. Grew up on a fair sized farm working for my Dad. Worked in the grain business and then farmed with my Bother later on when my Dad passed away. Between both of us working off the farm, and both having good jobs that require a lot of time, we decided that working long days (at times), there just is no time for enjoyment anymore. Thus, we have decided this is our last year. I was planting beans in some of the wheat that we killed due to an extremely dry and harsh winter last night and got to thinking that I had better get a couple of pictures. I sold the JD 1560 Drill to a fellow, just to make sure I didn't change my mind...lol! He wants it as soon as I am done. Now the big question is whether to have a farm sale, or just sell the pieces off one by one. Probably just sell off one by one. Hate to get out, but sure getting out after a few years of good crops and higher prices. I am in Central KS. However, I still have relation farming, so I'm sure if I want to get dirty, there will be plenty of opportunities. Plus, I still have to put up hay for my 4 Giant Hayburners...LOL! Bob
