The power steering that was added, was it factory steering from the same model tractor? Or was it adapted from other sources?
Wondering if the reservoir may be too small, as in the level dropping too low when the cylinder is extended, allowing the pump to suck air, then foam over when the cylinder is retracted.
Another experience from way back... Had an old forklift with the Delco generator/ps pump combo. It would foam over, blow fluid out the cap when shut off. Went through the pump, replaced all the old hard orings and seals. To my surprise, whatever I did fixed it. Must have been pulling in air internally somehow.
