Up date on neighbors gas tank. He couldn't find any one to weld gas tank. He gets a 2 part epoxy designed to fix tank. Epoxy cured in 2 hours, we installed tank, no runs, drips or errors, works so far.
We concluded the original crack may have come from vibrations transferred to sediment bowl via the steel gas line. So we cut line and installed a short gas hose.
Tractor is back together after replacing the front seal in tranny. It was a good day, only had to split tractor twice. Neighbor is happy.
