Lowes has the key machine I think you are talking about around here and it makes house keys only. You do not pay Lowes but rather pay the machine with a credit card.
So if I am correct how can you expect Menards to give you a refund if they collected nothing from you.
With your thinking you better stop using ATM's coke and candy machines. They all work on the same principal because the business where you used the machine does not own said machine. They are only renting the floor space for said machine to be placed there.
