Your tractor originally had 4 six-Volt batteries and a VERY unusual electrical system (at least to most of the world who are not familiar with it).
Add the fact over 50 years have passed and it has been "modded" to two 12 Volt batteries to all the other quirks of the system, and you have a REAL problem on your hands.
If you have a basic understanding of DC electrical systems and a factory shop manual at hand, this will NOT be a big problem.
I (as well as many others familiar with this obscure system) could probably figure it out in about 30 seconds if we we there, but diagnosis over the 'net is a BIT more difficult!
