There were two series of 500 Case tractors. The older large frame wheatlands, with 6cyl. 377cu.in diesel. They were made in Racine. Then came the 500B. A much smaller 4cyl gas tractor, built in the Rock Island plant. The two plants were almost like two seperate companies, with their own designs. There were several duplicate model numbers in the late 50s. By the 60's these double identies were ended. Models were 400/B, 500/B, 600/B.
