Just got my Mom out of a nursing home/rehab today. She was only in for a short rehab stay following an illness.
Learned some things about nursing home rules I didn't know! Like it's up to the resident physician and the administration as to when they can leave.
Mom was miserable, was ready to go, we were ready to take her to our house, took a week to get her out! We were told if we took her out Medicare and her supplemental insurance would not pay anything, we would be responsible for the entire bill. Had we not been persistent and insistent they would have kept her well beyond her scheduled rehab stay.
